The Music Room – Mixing Machines 1 & 2

On entering the Music Room, head right to the big flower-like machine to the right. This will net you 3 out of 12 musical notes. Now use the bright yellow teleporter pad on the right to teleport to the middle level.

The next machine requires a bunch of components, which are strewn around the area. Pick up a blue-marked pipe near the pond, to the right of a couple of mushrooms. Then, use the burning heart from your inventory on the blue crystal and retrieve the red-marked pipe.

Interact with the teleporter again to go one level down. Ignore the puzzle here for now and take the teleporter to the far left instead.

Collect all the globular glass mixing jars lying around in this area: there are six in all.

Now interact with the colorful set of plumbing above the teleporter. Here, you must restore the six mixing jars and the two pipes. This is fairly straightforward: just fit the jars and pipes according to the color markings at their ends.

With the jars and pipes all in place, you’ll create three more musical notes, for a total of 6 out of 12.

Use the teleporter to return to the flower-like machine, then use the teleporter there again to go to the middle level, and then the next one to reach the lowermost level.
