After the introductory cutscene, you will control Sargon. Talk to Anahita and move to the right. Jump across the battle field as you need to, as this is the tutorial part of the game. Get adept at the controls, you will need the skills. Kill the first two enemies you come across and jump up the platforms and keep to the right. Exit the area and in the next area learn the combat mechanics – parry and such. Orod will rush in and you have to follow him. Exit the next area and keep clearing out the enemies. This is pretty straightforward, keeping heading right and keep killing enemies.

After Menolias clears the path, rush through. In the next area, wall jump up and take the archer out. Keeping getting higher by wall jumping. On top there will be a gauntlet, take everyone out and slide down. Learn how to perfect parry on the next enemy and clear this current gauntlet. You will now acquire your first Healing Potion.

Run through the next area and use a charged attack to break the door down. Enjoy the cutscene and prepare for a boss fight.

Boss Fight : General Uvishka 

He does a low angle sweep to begin the encounter.

He jumps off his horse and slams down straight.

He does an overhead slam.

He does a rush at 50% health, which glows yellow meaning you can Special Parry it to trigger a cutscene attack, which will knock him off his horse.

On foot now, he does a thrust attack.

He spins the trident and does a wide area swing.

Keep parrying his attacks if you can or just use a hit-and-run tactic and he should go down relatively easy. Enjoy the cutscene and Queen Thomyris will bestow upon you the Royal Sash,.

The Royal Sash is a key item.

After you regain control, speak to the Prince, Ardashir, and Vahram. Exit the Throne room and speak to Anahita outside. Go to the left, down the stairs, and follow the instructions wall jump and pole vault up to the roof. Speak to the Immortals here. Speak to Neith to progress the scene. Back at the courtyard, go to the right and you will fight Anahita’s guards. In the next area you will unlock the first Athra Surge – Verethragna’s Smite. Clear the area and move on. Watch the next cutscene and prepare for a boss fight.

Boss: Sword Master

He hits really hard with a straight thrust that can only be dodged.

He can and will parry your attacks – so can you. Most of his attacks other than the thrust are light attacks and are prone to parry. Once you take him out, watch the next cutscene and head for Mount Qaf. The Main Quest: Lost in Mount Qaf will start.

Talk to the Immortals on your way in. Keep moving right and discovering about the Citadel. After all the cutscenes have played out – take out the enemies and move right. You can drop down on your way and you will find a blocked pathway that you can’t open now, so ignore it and keep moving.

Keep moving to the right and then wall jump up and pole vault up and pick up the time crystals on top. Drop down and hit the lever to drop a drawbridge and get over and read the sign. Head to the right and exit the area. Jump over the platforms and vault up to pick up a Time Crystal on the roof. Kill the enemies here and get up on the right side platform.

Kill all the enemies and head up and to the left to take out the archer and you will find a closed off grate, for now. Head back down and head down the stairs and exit the area. Take out the enemies in the next area, watch out for the lobbed bombs and head up.

Clear this area and wall jump up and head right. Drop down where there are a pile of leaves and a wind blowing downwards.

Read the sign at the bottom and you will come across the first Wak-Wak tree. Talk to the Young Girl and keep moving right. She will give you the Eye of the Wanderer – the map and Memory Shards – the ability to mark locations on your map with pictures – reminding you where to come back with upgraded abilities.
