Chapter 4 (Skull Hook)

Go south from where the squirrel escaped you, i.e. back to the red area where you found the snail. Approach the squirrel and then enter the rotten tree trunk that the squirrel ran through. This will take us to the next area.

Continue through the trunk, into the darkness, and through the darkness into the red-tinged area. Here, you’ll find… the monster.

Continue to the right and you’ll find an area where you don’t have any cover from the monster. The monster’s red eyes will light up this area in red, so you can only move when it is not red.

Head right when the timing is right to get past the first open gap. Proceed right and into the open area, which should be fine given that the monster isn’t around. (Jinx). Once Lucy is back to safety, pick up the animal skull that’s fallen to the ground.

Combine it with the vine in your inventory to get a ‘skull hook’. It’s like a grappling hook, but much more metal-sounding, I guess?
