Welcome to the Into Indie Games guide for Children of Silentown! As Children of Silentown is a point-and-click adventure game, I strongly recommend exploring the world and getting a feel for all the various items and characters you’ll find in it. Note that this is a story-oriented guide and does not cover stickers or achievements.

Chapter 1 (Alley)

Outside, there’s a lot to explore in the alley and one character to talk to.

To proceed with the game, you must talk to the old lady standing in the middle of the alley and acquire another note for your collection.

To get the note, go to the top-right of the scene, to a closed door with a bell right next to it. If you examine the bell, you’ll find that it’s missing a clapper. Interact with the door next to the bell to acquire the handle.

Use the weird handle with the bell. Lucy will ring the bell and acquire another note.

To talk to the old lady, simply interact with her in the middle of the alley, where she’s petting Squinty.

After completing both of these tasks (in any order), Lucy will be called back home for dinner. Another scene follows here. During the scene, you’ll acquire yet another note. This scene marks the end of Chapter 1.
